Wayne and Lyons Varsity Football Teams Remain Undefeated; Clyde-Savannah and Genenva also Win

Quarterback Connor Hollenbeck went 11-for-15 for 223 yards and two touchdown and added a rushing TD, all in the first half, and Zach Koshacook had 70 yards and thre touchdowns on 10 carres for Wayne (4-0). Cory McNamara had five catches for 148 yards and added an interception, his 16th over the past two years for Wayne. Nick Pomponi had 10 tackles, including two sacks, and a fumble recovery for Wayne, which had two fumble recoveries, two interceptions and eight sacks.

Lyons 28, Marcus Whitman 21

Derick Fera had 64 yards passing and 59 rushing with a total of two touchdowns for Lyons (4-0). KaRay Harris finished with a touchdown and 36 rushing yards for the Lions. Mareese Wells led the Lyons’ defense with nine tackles, which included two for a loss. Taylor Lazzaro rushed for 124 yards on 20 carries with two touchdowns for Marcus Whitman (3-1). Jesse Moore passed for 113 yards in the loss for the Wildcats.
