Boys Varsity Basketball

Wayne 72, Marshall 54
Connor Burns Memorial Tournament at Wayne

Red Jacket Tournament/Consolation
Dakota Norrison finished with 21 points and six steals for the Screaming Eagles (1-6). Mason Jones chipped in 15 points and Jacob Kemp added six assists and seven steals for Midlakes. Sodus is 0-6.

Williamson 51, North Rose-Wolcott 48
Wayne Tournament Consolation
Stevie Thomson had 16 points for Williamson (4-4).

Thursday, December 27th

Lyons 84, Midlakes 52
Red Jacket Tournament
Tre Johnson had 18 of his 32 points in the first half and grabbed 10 rebounds to lift Lyons (5-0). Damien Scott chipped in 7 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists in the win. Dakota Norrison scored 18 points for Midlakes (0-6).

Wayne 62, North Rose-Wolcott 34
Connor Burns Memorial Tournament at Wayne
Tre LaMora scored 17 of his 27 points in the third quarter and Paul Dinehart finished with 12 points for Wayne (6-0). NR-W is 2-4.

Marshall/Freddie Thomas All City Campus 80, Williamson 34
Connor Burns Memorial Tournament at Wayne
Dennis Felder had 12 points, 8 rebounds and 7 blocks and Khalil Hancock added 12 points, 8 rebounds and 3 steals off the bench for the Jurists (3-5). Williamson is 3-4.

Red Jacket 81, Sodus 48
Red Jacket Tournament
Kory Fogarty finished with 19 points and Garret Jansen added 13 points and 14 rebounds for Red Jacket (4-1), which used its man-to-man defense to build a 20-point lead in first quarter,  The Indians had 16 steals as a team.

Clyde Savannah 81, Newfield 47
Red Jacket Tournament
Senior Tom Kanaley scored 23 points to reach 1,000 for his career for Clyde-Savannah (6-0). Kanaley had 11 points in the second and Jomaine Bogan added eight in the quarter as the Golden Eagles scored 34 points. Cam DiSanto added 9 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists in the win.

Avon 62, Gananda 48
Tyler Hite had 19 points and seven rebounds and Zachary Mouw recorded 18 points and six rebounds for Avon. Gananda is 5-2.

Girls Varsity Basketball

Friday, December 28th

Livonia 49, Lyons 46
Livonia Tournament 
Melissa Mineti converted a three-point play after stealing an inbound pass to put Livonia (4-3) up 46-43 with 1:27 remaining.  Natalie Pope and Logan Fugle each finished with 15 points and seven rebounds for the Bulldogs. Abbie Shields led Lyons (5-1) with a game-high 17 points.
