Tuesday, November 27th
Gananda 61, SOTA 48
Eric Mucci scored 16 points for Gananda (1-0).

Girls Basketball
Wednesday, November 28th
Geneva 61, Wayne 50
Senior Alisia Griffin finished with 22 points and 10 rebounds and sophomore Mia Morrison added 14 points and seven rebounds for the Panthers (1-0). Freshman Shyana McLeod finished with 16 points and 10 rebounds and Hunter Culbertson added 10 points and nine rebounds for the Eagles (0-1).
Pal-Mac 81, Marcus Whitman 39
Courtney Ameele scored 28 points and added seven steals for the Red Raiders (1-0). Pal-Mac’s Ashley Vanderwall had 23 points and eight steals and Brittany Szachta added 12 points and eight rebounds.

Thursday, November 29th
Eastridge 55, Gananda 39
(SOTA Tournament – first round)
Emily Piacentini finished with a game-high 24 points, five of which came on 3-pointers, and Rachel Campbell chipped in 17 points to go along with eight rebounds and four assists for Eastridge(4-0). Jenn Sterns had 20 points for Gananda (0-1).

Boys Varsity – Swimming
Thursday, November 29th
Gates Chili 96, Pal-Mac 86
Gates Chili and Pal-Mac swim meet came down to the last event, the 400 Free Relay. It was a back and forth effort by both teams. Gates Chili won the first event (200 Medley Relay) by less than 2 seconds with the team of John Crysler, Joseph Klock, Sam Krstevski, and Zach Mendes. Gates Chili then swept the 200 IM to take a 26-20 lead. Gates Chili took a 16 point lead at the end of the 200 Free Relay. Pal-Mac swept the 100 Backstroke with Chris Heckman winning it to cut the score down to a 6 point lead for Gates. Heading into the final event it came down to who would finish 1st. The team of Alex Maxwell, Matthew DeWinde, Jeffery Hay, John Crysler pulled ahead and finished 1st with a time of 3:43.97 to secure the dual meet win. Pal-Mac’s depth kept the meet close as Pal-Mac took 2nd in 5 of 8 and 3rd in 7 of 8 individual events. Pal-Mac’s record is 0-1. Gates Chili’s record is 1-0. Pal-Mac’s next meet is in Hilton on December 1st starting at 3:00.

Varsity Hockey
Wednesday, November 28th
Aquinas 6, BK/Eastridge/Wayne 3
Michael Passero scored one goal and had two assists to lead BK/Eastridge/Wayne (0-1). Jack Prew-Estes and Kyle Kuebler each added one goal while CJ Hiscock and Nathan Martin each had one assist.

Boys Bowling
Wednesday, November 28th
Geneva 7, Wayne 0
Joey Placious tossed a 591 series with games of 225 and 195 to lead Wayne. J.T. Rubato added a 210 game and Kevin Hayes bowled a 205 game.
Geneva 5, Wayne 2
Rachel Selner threw a 528 series with games of 177, 171 and 180 to lead Wayne (9-5). Brenea Doell added a 506 series with games of 187 and 170.
Geneva won the overall match by only 6 pins.
