Motor Vehicle accident in Ontario sends five to hospital

The Wayne County Office of the Sheriff, along with the Ontario Fire Department and multiple EMS agencies, responded to a single car motor vehicle accident on Route 104 westbound between Knickerbocker Road and Ontario Center Road on Saturday (10/20) at 4:30 a.m.

Buddhi Rana, age 41, of Buffalo, NY, was operating a 2009 Mitsubishi Lancer, westbound on Route 104, when it appears that Rana fell asleep while driving and left the North side of the roadway, striking a tree.

Rana had four passengers in the car, all of whom were injured and transported to Strong Memorial Hospital, with one of them being in guarded condition. No additional vehicles were involved.
