Town of Macedon – February 14, 2013

A regular meeting of the board was called to order at 7:30 PM in the Macedon Town Hall. Meeting minutes from the January 24, 2013 meeting were approved as presented. Additionally the board accepted monthly reports as presented from The Macedon Police Department January Agenda, the Macedon Police January Monthly Incident Report, the Town Clerk’s January Report, and the Town Historian’s 11/16-12/31 Report. No public comments were offered and reported correspondence included a letter regarding Workforce Development for Highway Department availability, and a letter from the Macedon Intermediate School requesting the Macedon Town Hall be named as an alterative site in the event of an emergency evacuation. After discussion the board agreed to allow the request with plans for Supervisor Hammond, Police Chief Colella, along with school representatives to review logistics.
Under business, approved resolutions were as follows:
• Resolution No. 1 (13); an amended Intermunicipal Agreement Policy between the Town and Village of Macedon
• The Town of Macedon awards the 1976 Kenworth Model W900A to Carrier Salvage and Recycling LLC for the bid price of $4,319.00, the highest bidder.
• Approval for the Town Clerk to purchase a storage cart in an amount not to exceed $210.00
• Payment of Claims
During the Round Table portion of the meeting, Supervisor Hammond
Councilwoman Pagano reported having attended the Village of Macedon Brownfield Steering Committee Meeting and announced that two additional meetings will be held, in which the public is being called upon to attend for input. The first will be held on Thursday, February 28th in the Palmyra-Macedon Intermediate School at 6:30 PM, and the second will be held on Wednesday, March 6th in the Macedon Fire Hall from 6:00-9:00.
No other business came before the board and the public meeting was adjourned at 7:50 PM for the board to meet in Executive Session. The next regular meeting of the Macedon Town Board will be held on Thursday, February 28th, at 7:30 PM in the Macedon Town Hall.
