I started writing about politics…

I was all-fired up about the recent Democrat/Republican whoopla over the fiscal crisis, but stopped because, without writing a word, most of my readers already know what I would have written, including a couple of vulgar expletives.

Just then, I turned around and saw something that changed my mood. Just over two years ago Zu Zu dog came into our lives. The Cavalier King Charles pup immediately took to Simon the Siamese Cat and although they are often at odds and fight like, well, cats and dogs, the picture kind of tells it all.

Since we moved to our new house last May, the animals are on the same floor and mostly in the same room with us most of the day and night.

ZuZu has her odd points. She demands canned food at all times and even though we tried the best of dried foods, she will go days without touching anything but the best, top line wet dog food. In addition, newcomers to the house are welcomed by the dog climbing on the back of the sofa and sitting over and on top of our guests’ heads. Another oddity about this dog, unlike most animals, she loves the roar of the vacuum and awaits the end of the rug cleaning so she too can be vacuumed.

Yeah, I know, this is not one of my regular rants, but after snapping this picture, I was in a better mood.
