With the inside described as “pretty well gutted” the 1812 Hotel in Sodus remains boarded up and condemned, pending a costly repair.

The Wayne County Sheriff's Office reported the arrest on Wednesday of Aljuan J. Green, age 20, of Nakissa Drive in the Village of Sodus on a warrant for Assault in the 1st Degree.

The warrant stems from an incident that occurred in the early morning hours on Saturday (2/22) at the Airport Bar on Ridge Road in Sodus.

Green reportedly got into a fight with another man. During the fight, the victim sustained a severe laceration with a razor to an artery in the left temple, requiring numerous stitches.

Green was arraigned by Sodus Justice Robert Frantangello and remanded to jail on $1000 cash bail. Green immediately posted bail and was back out on the streets.

Police re-arrested Green for Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 3rd Degree for the razor. He was arraigned in Arcadia Town Court in front of Justice Art Williams and remanded to jail on the new charge for $50,000 cash/$100,000 bond. At press time Green was still behind bars

A record check showed Green, a second time violent felon, was currently on parole from State prison for a 2005 conviction for Attempted Burglary in the 2nd Degree out of Wayne County .
